To transfer points, you need the CSP.

I'm not sure about the combo, but I'd bet the CSP is a pre-requisite.  The 10 points (up to 100 per month) on the Freedom with this combo will more than pay the fee for the CSP.  Not that hard to do, really.  Use it for coffee daily.  Pay your cable/phone bills in $1 increments.  That's an extra 12,000 UR points per year.

This will be my next set-up.

What is this about?  10 points, up to 100...can you elaborate?

Thanks!

I think what he means is if one does 100 transactions monthly multiplied by 10 points per transaction is 10K points = $10 (cash value) which is $120 annually. Then that pays for the CSP $95AF. I'd say though paying a utility bill in $1 increments could get time consuming every month.

Chase will cancel all your cards and permanently blacklist you for doing this. They've done it to people in the past as reported on other forums.

Your end result is correct, but just to clarify: 100 transactions monthly multiplied by 10 points per transaction is 1k points, not 10k. Still comes out to $10 when taken as cash.

How long does one have to wait to app for a freedom after getting a CSP?

Technically, 30 days, but you can apply right away and just call the recon line. I made a thread about this very topic here: http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/Approved-for-Freedom-2-weeks-after-CSP/td-p/1366261
