Hard Pulld and Soft pulls...

hi
on my reports under inquries how do i know if its a hard or soft pull?

if you go directly to equifax, they actually do a great job of breaking it down.  Under Inquiries it states as follows:
Inquiries that display to companies and may impact your credit score.
This section lists companies that requested your credit file. Credit grantors may view these requests when evaluating your credit worthiness.
 OR
 

Inquiries that do not display to companies and do not impact your credit score.
This section includes inquiries which display only to you and are not considered when evaluating your credit worthiness. Examples of this inquiry type include a pre-approved offer of credit, insurance, or periodic account review by an existing creditor.

the first is a HARD INQUIRY and the second is a SOFT INQUITY.  I usually use Equifax to guide my other report (inquiries).  Fico and Experian, seems to just show inquiries that "impact" your score.

On SW and TC, they only show hard pulls.
