Contacted my CU about a secured loan using my savings account as colateral. They told me they dont pull my CR for this as essentially I'm borrowing my own money. My question is will they report payments since they didn't pull a CR and how much of a ding will my scores take for another new account on top of the gazillion I already have. I was trying to establish a credit relationship with them while I work on my scores so I can get better financing in the future. I haven't actually done anything yet so I could hold off a while.
