Question about late payments

Can you have late payments while something was in collections at the same time?

One of my old account c/o they are trying to give late payments in 2005 when it was in collection

I learned the hard way..if the OC is the CA...but if the account was opened as a collection account on your reports...and reporting lates..that's incorrect...but be aware...myFICO EX is sometimes wrong..I have an collection account on my reports that show recent lates...I called EX..and they said no lates were on the TL...

I have a paid collection on my EQ report from AFNI.  It is a paid collection, but in the "status" column it says "120+ days past due".  How is it past due if it is a paid collection?  Any advice?

I would dispute as incorrectly reported, if it lists as a collection yet says "120 days." If it's listed as a 120-day late then don't dispute it, as a 120 day late is slightly less negative than a collection.
