I'm going to write a DV and MOV letter to the CRAs, but I was also going to write another letter to Unicorn Financial requesting a statement of my account, noting all payments etc and when they were made. What do you think? Would this help or hurt my case? Do you think they would give it to me?
I know that I can prove that the account was paid in full prior to their claim of charge off, if I were to get my statement file. I also have a letter from Unicorn - that I fortunately requested upon pay off - stating the date of the PIF status, which was approximately eight months prior to them reporting the charge off on the CRAs. But I wanted more ammunition.
