mailed dispute

I can't redispute something with Experian online so I'm doing it in writing.  Question is, do I have to give a reason why I'm disputing it? I'm also assuming I have to put my SS# on the dispute letter, is that correct?

Re: mailed dispute

I would put SSN on the leter along with a report number.

Include a copy of DL, SSN Card and a utility bill.

Re: mailed dispute

Thanks Timothy!

DO I have to state a reason why I'm disputing?

Also decided to follow noah's advice and fax also, i guess I should send a copy of dl, ss, and utility fax also?

Re: mailed dispute

State a reason- Inaccurate or make up your own.

Only do one or the other- and yes send the items with the FAX.

If you do both they will treat it as "additional information" and start the 30 clock over.
