when something goes wrong while rebuilding?  I legit lose my mind if something happens to derail our progress!  My how times have changed... a few short years ago if a bill collector called, I didn't answer or care if they left a message... I threw away bills when they came in the mail if we couldn't pay them.  Now, I watch the mail, my credit reports, and my voicemail like a hawk looking for anyone who dares tread on my turf!  This morning a new collection was reported on my husband- they snuck in through the backdoor apparently!  It was $112 measly dollars for a medical bill.  I immediately flipped out and almost cried... until 5 minutes later after a phone call to the practice manager she agreed to retract it so I could just pay it directly to them, lol.  How is your journey going today everyone?

I feel ya! I have one OLD baddie left on my EQ from 2007 for $600 for a cable company that slapped a collection for "not returning equipment" 4 years after the fact. I remember the Mediacomm guy coming and picking it up! Of course after 4 years I had no proof and it was my word against theirs. I wouldn't pay it out of principal. Since its set to age off in 2 months, I got greedy and disputed it as obsolete last week and I notice today my FAKO on USAA dipped 20 pts. The only change is it no longer says reinvestigation in process so EQ must have left it. Even though I know its just a couple months before it falls off I am all nervous today and awaiting a scorewatch alert.

LOL, I await SW alerts every day!  I just disputed an old student loan and a charge off of my husband's as obsolete- hope it works, one is supposed to come off next month and the other in the summer.  And what is it with these cable companies??? I had not one, but TWO different companies not credit our equipment and put us in collections.  I have NO use for their equipment, and had to end up dealing with corporate offices on both to get it resolved.
