Hi all,
What a frusterating week it's been with ERC/T-Mobile. After spending many hours on the phone, being told about 6 different out comes, the latest I heard from T-mobile is that they can't instruct ERC to remove my PIF tradeline. ERC has not responded well to my GW letters that I've sent in. I really need to get this one account removed - it hit recently, dropped my score by around 40 points, and I'm looking at getting a mortgage relatively soon.
One of the representatives from T-mobile instructed me to dispute the collection account with the credit bureaus and that it would be removed. Isn't it bad to dispute something before applying for a mortgage? I wouldn't be applying for pre approval for around 3 months, so I don't know if that matters.
At this point, what are my options? I could continue to GW ERC once a week. I could continue to email the higher ups at T-Mobile to see what can be done? I'm at a loss and would love to hear some opinions on my situation.
Thanks,
Edit:
Also, I received a alert from score watch yesterday that states "New collection on debt by: 867YA10D RECOVERY COMPANY" - It's the exact same amount, clearly the same company, reporting as paid, and reporting as a different first delinquincy date. My credit score did not change from this.

That part concerns me, possibly reaging the debt.
Me too. Should I BBB them?

You need to get all your facts gathered first. Get your old CRs and your new CRs and compare everything. Just filing a claim or dispute won't get you near as far as if you have proof to back up your claims.
Ok. Should this be something I move forward with ASAP? I would prefer not to pay for another credit report until the end of the month, when another CA has agreed to remove and has put it in their computers to remove on the 21st.
Thanks,
I went ahead and pulled my CR. I opened a BBB complaint based on some other threads where people were reporting lots of success. ERC is apparentely known for re aging past debts. Hopefully my BBB complaint works.
Thanks for your help. I know this will make GW's with them difficult in the future, but getting stuff removed from your CR is full of risks.
Here goes nothing.
I have an email for a Tmobile CEO if that route will help. ERC told a friend of mine that once she's finished paying that they will delete. I guess it's all in who you speak to.
Hi, there. Can I please get the T-mobile CEO email? Thank you!
