I had two Federal tax liens each filed in two different counties - so I have 4 entries. They were released in 11/2006. I did not owe and been fighting IRS to delete - but they claim they originally filed properly even though the end result is I did not owe the IRS. My question, I filed petition with IRS and lost - they said they cannot remove county records of tax liens that are already been released. Is there any way to get these off my credit report? Will sending the CRA my tax transcripts that show that I did not owe money to IRS and instead got refunds will help any? Also - is there anything I can do about two counties filing for same lien - its like double hitting for same release? And lastly - does removing 3 year old tax liens from CR actually make any difference in score? THanks
