Hey Everyone,
I was just approved instantly online for a Nordstrom Retail Card, $500 credit limit, 13 inqs and have 580ish TU score. Tried to recon the $500 to a higher amount, no go, they require a 7 month payment history, BUT they do often upgrade from the retail card to their visa card after those 7 months as long as you keep a low balance, pay on-time and have decent credit.
If you're looking for another store card this one might work for you...
Thanks great to know!
Doesn't it feel so good to be approved
TIA. I wish I had known this yesterday! Dec 1- I'm in the garden!
It feels great!

Good job! When I step out of the Garden in spring, I'm going to apply in-store for Nordstrom Visa (I hear they offer the retail card if you can't get VISA) and I have heard about the upgrade, too.
Congrats!
Nordstrom normally pulls EQ and recently started pulling EX. Congrats to your approval Nordstrom is usually not an easy approval with high inqs and scores lower than 670ish
I applied a couple weeks ago for the retail card and got a letter in the mail yesterday saying that I was declined due to not beingable to verify my information. Called last night and the CSR asked me to verify the last 4 digits of my SSN and my zip code. After a brief hold listening to holiday music, he came back and said I was approved for $500!!
My scores are similar to the OP and have about 11 inquiries over the last 2 months. I have two Cap1 secured cards with $300 limits and a US Bank secured at $300 as well. Coming from a 495 score in July, it feels good to be working my way out and get to where I need to be. Card will be here in time for me to use for the rest of my Christmas gifts and then I'll pay off in January and use it again later. Come next July I plan on making that call for a CLI and possibly PC to Visa!
