Question on who to pay balance

Hello all, 

I am rather new to this and am not sure if my question will make sense. I have an account that is from 2013 from a payday loan that I am able to pay now. My question is, who do I pay? The original creditor? The collection agency? And if I pay the original creditor, will the collection agency be removed from my credit as well?

First you must find out who currently owns the debt. The CA, or the OC?

Well on my report only the CA is listed so I would assume they do.

Never assume...Call the OC and ask them the question. The only way to get a derog removed from your reports is to offer a PFD (pay for deletion), GW deletion, waiting the 7 years plus 180 days.
