llecs,
Very true. I had 3 medical collections. As each one was removed, I say a small bump, maybe 10 points or so. But when the last one was removed and I was collection free, it was quite a nice pop. So I think it's all dependent on how many collections are listed. The last one should be key.

Oh, I see what you mean, thanks!
I believe I have 2 medical ones to clear up (Doctors office's fault on one, then a screw up at the pharmacy on another)
Then 1 is being taken care of at the end of this month. I'm going to try to get a PFD if possible
One is my student loan, but that should have been deferred rather than reporting late/missed payments, so that should clear up soon!
Then lastly, I have one more after that
So, 1 is taken care of out of 6 technically..Message Edited by tullz85 on 03-25-2009 03:56 PM
I'll give it a try, just trying to clear one up at a time ![]()
I just sent in a GW letter to my student loan company explaining their error and what was happening, so hopefully they clean those up for me.
I also am sending one to my credit card company too, so hopefully those will also be fixed.
Then I'm going to try to get a PFD from my bill that's being payed at the end of the month, that should all help!
Does it help when companies stop reporting late payments? I know that stuff contributes a big chunk of your score..
Ah, so getting my CA account deleted in essence should give me a small boost hopefully!
I'm also working on bringing my util down from a 90% down to a 40% by the end of April. I've been reading that should help quite a lot ![]()
Everyone here is full of such wisdom!!!
I'd still want a bank CC then, and a department store CC that doesn't show Mastercard/Visa, etc on it yet then too?
I'll have to shoot for that lower goal then, I read 30-40% was good!
