The Waiting Game

Evening All,
I applied for BoA, CAP1 & US Bank on Saturday night. I got approved from CAP1 instantly, US Bank says processing & BoA website says my info doesn't match up with what they have on file, as far as email address, yet that's the only one I use for bills/business...Kanye shrug. Funny thing is I have 4 years banking with BoA both Checking & Savings, all positive!. Yet I wondering should I not apply for anything else right now? I don't want too many hard pulls but then I also don't want 4 cards if I keep applying and finally hear back from BoA & US Bank, after the fact. Any suggestions?

I'd say it depends on how many cards you have currently. My first thought was hold of for a bit and see what happens with these two first. Going by most of what I've seen and read here, if you do get these other 2 cards let them grow a bit for several months before applying for anymore. Apparently some will reject you for too many inquiries. So don't use them up unless absolutely needed. You only want but so many on your report at 1 time. Takes 12 months for those to come off. Hope I helped in some way.

I just recieved a call from BoA to verify my info. I was approved!!!!!! Yay me!!!!! So I for sure have the BoA & CAP1....waiting on US Bank. I'm proud of myself....it's the small wins that keep me going. Now I'm in the process of sending DV's.

The inquiries actually stay on your credit report for 2 years but they don't hurt your score as much after 1 year.

I would start gardening now for 6-12 months, especially if you get approved for the US Bank card.
