Would tuition count under the same rules as a student loan? IE no SOL.

Hello, 5 years ago I dropped classes and the school charged me, I didn't pay. I had a federal loan at the time and was late on it but they ended up taking my tax return. At this point the only thing left thats bad on my report is the tuition that was dropped and im wondering if I should just pay it, or if it will drop off someday. I'm thinking I might try for a mortgage soon, all scores are 700+

I'm not sure if there is an SOLAR. However, I was in the same situation and the school eventually turned over my tuition amount to a collections agency. It's my understanding that the CA is collecting on behalf of the school, so once I finish paying it the TL will delete off my report.
