Yeah, I think the coding is what matters most. In a perfect world all the inquiries would be coded correctly and alike, but I get the feeling that's not status quo
As for the differences in the models; You can tell they've modernized them quite a bit. People don't go and sit down at a dealership, pick out a car on the lot, and then rate shop a few times anymore. You may find 3 cars in 3 different states browsing online, rate shop each dealer, rate shop your CU, and over the course of a month make your purchase.

So will using a credit monitoring service count as a soft pull or a hard pull? I know Credit Sesame just started offering credit monitoring at http://www.creditsesame.com and I was going to try using it. They get their information from Experian right?
Yes, Creditsesame monitors EX. Anytime you check your own credit it's a soft pull. Checking your own CRs will not lower your scores or count as as a Hard Inquiry.
Most of us, especially us rebuilders, use multiple credit monitoring services.
