What, you never heard Harry Caray call a game???
No, but I have seen Steve Goodman perform liveI have seen Steve Goodman perform live. I have been to Second City more times than is necessary. I am a Chicagoan doing a partial life-sentence on lovely, lush Long Island.Tomorrow, my Cubbies come to play at Shea Stadium for FOUR nights. If you're watching the games, I'll be the Chicago fan being flogged by the crowd (grin)!atlast.....dating a Mets fan, and trying to be gracious

Well, not from, umm, the particular computer that I'm on now.I'll check it out this evening.
"Hutsu"? I suppose I always imagined it would be pronounced "hitsu." Like some sort of specialized Japanese kitchen knife on late-night TV. Remind me to never get such an unmanageable screenname again.

Thank you for this! I read the incredibly long lyrics for this on the other thread, but it was great to hear the real thing.
Requiescat in pace, Cubs fan.
In the department of futile sports fandom, I am/ have been a fan of the Cubs, the Red Sox, the Braves (back in the early 80's when they really, really stank) and the Redskins. And oh yes, my kids' smallish private school's sports teams. Although Chad Pennington and a couple of others are doing OK.
Our college football team is looking pretty sucky this fall.
Our son's first word was almost the f-word, because DH would park his baby seat in front of the TV during Braves games back in '83-'84, and that's pretty much all he ever heard DH say, over and over and over.
My personal dream: Cubs vs Red Sox this October in the Series!!!!
