I recently applied for Direct Loan Consolidation and doing the IBR plan and was confused by a few things.
- I got married last year so the most recent tax filings I have list me as single. Do I need to send in both mine and my wife's tax returns
- I noticed when filling out the paperwork it said the following: You file a joint federal income tax return with your spouse and your spouse has eligible loans. Enter information about your spouse, below. If my wife does not have IBR eligible loans does that mean I do not fill this out (with her information) or do I not qualify for IBR myself?
I may have some other questions but these are the most confusing for me so far.
