Multiple Credit pulls as one?

I read that if you have your credit pulled in say home buying. Say I shop around and 5 lenders pull my credit. I read if it is within a 30 day period that counts as one pull on the credit. If this is the case how does that work cause won't it still show 5 different inquiries?

Re: Multiple Credit pulls as one?

Your reports will show five; however, FICO will only count one against your score.

myFICO is the consumer division of FICO. Since its introduction 20 years ago, the FICO® Score has become a global standard for measuring credit risk in the banking, mortgage, credit card, auto and retail industries. 90 of the top 100 largest U.S. financial institutions use the FICO Score to make consumer credit decisions.
