I apologize in advance if this comes across harsh but I'm just going to put this out there...
It really seems like you're looking for agreement but I believe I'm speaking for most that we are collectively warning against proceeding down this path.
Your Sister seems very intent on persuing it based on how much she's invested in that process.
I'm hoping for a positive outcome for her.
Good luck.
She is going to do a voluntary surrender. She did ny feel comfortable letting someone else make payments to buy it from her. The couple auction places will not buy it and will only put it up for auction and she doesnt have enough saved back to give extra to the bank should the car not sell. We dnot have anything like a carmax around us.
She has since pulled her husbanf off al accounts they shared. He is angry but she said that if he would allow this to happen then she doesnt trust him. For background... Him and his parents told her the brother was only asking because of a job loss that messed up his credit. We have since discovered he has had five cars repoed. And numerous other loans and credit cards gone south. Not just once but all his life... And yes the husband admitted he lied to her. She would rather just turn it back in and try and make payment arrangements.
thanks everyone for advice. I know many people say do not co sign and what not... But i have done it and it worked fine. You just need to know all facts.
