Auto Enhanced Score Question

Hey all! I recently paid out a small auto loan that I took out.  The term of the loan was 36 months with outrageous 18% interest.  I paid the amount in full in 3 months.  How positive will affect my score?  The loan was only about 3k.  Will this make a difference considering the terms?

Re: Auto Enhanced Score Question

I think this should affect you positively irrespective fo the terms and conditions of the loan.

I have a auto loan listed on my CR which I cosigned, has one 30 day late, was a 72 month loan from Mazda american credit and was pid in full after 12 installments. I don't know my auto enhanced score or how it will impact it but I've seen my FICO scores go up in past few years and am sitting mid to high 700's.

anybody has any insights/advice for both of our cases on how it will impact us?

Re: Auto Enhanced Score Question

Don't hold me to this for 100% truth but I felt like a couple years ago their was a topic about Auto Loans increase score and history every 6 or 12 months that you are in the loan... I would almost lean towards others that have said my regular fico goes up when I borrow money and then pay it off regardless of how long usually so that's why I say I can't be certain that if you did not keep a loan for more than 12 months you would see very little score increase, it should still be a positive account that will report for 10 years.

However with buying a car I have seen my EQ Fico being 642 and when I ran to Toyota would said if they can pull any 3 scores above 650 they would give me lease special on Prius, when they pulled I had like a 536 or something... I have had repo's in past so not sure if they stay on auto fico longer then regular fico because I show no balances on my regular credit report or repo, just in BK.... but clearly a HUGE score difference!

Thats why it's good to use a CU if it's possible and you know you have bad stuff on auto fico because any credit union I have used just pulls regular Fico' not auto enhanced.
