I went to the local gm dealer that advertises, they can get financing for anyone, so I took a test drive in a newer model silverado, then went in and sat down with the finance manager, and filled out a loan app, i told him I had $8000-$9000 down, the truck asking price is $18999, he told me my score was 595, and income was good, then he said he would call me when he got something. By the time I got home, he had left a message for me saying, that he had good news, and wanted to ask me a few more questions, so I tried calling him back, the first time I called, he said he was with another customer, but would call back, bt never called back, tried 3 more time in the last 3 days, leaving messages, but he never called back. When I check my transunion credit report, there were 4 new hard pulls, 1 from the dealer, 1 from ally financial, 1 from americredit, and 1 from capitalone af. I dont know why he would call with "good news", and then not return my call. What do you guys think?
I would go back to the dealer.
Anytime you are having trouble contacting your salesman or F&I guy, best shot is to visit the lot... someone will help you. People don't realize how busy these employees are and how many customers they may be juggling at once. Messages get lost or forgotten, it happens.
