Me and my wife bought a new car a couple days ago. 4.9% 72 months through Nissan. Got an extra $1,500 rebate going through them. Now considering an immediate refi if I can get a better rate. Our FICOs from the dealer was 687 for me and 658 for my wife. <10% utility and 24 month old BK. Financed $33k so a percentage point difference would save some cash. Thoughts?
That BK is the only factor going against you. You already have the HP for the loan with Nissan so since you are close in time to that inquiry I would apply with NFCU or Penfed and see if they can beat it, well worth the hard pull to potentially save a decent amount of money. No sense in paying any more interest than you absolutely have to. Let us know how it turns out.
