CARMAX ?

Ok so I posted this question awhile ago and never really got an answer, so I'm asking again. Is it true that carmax fiance pulls experian auto ? Or is it plane ol equifax auto scores?

From the online credit pull database it just says Carmax pulls Equifax. It doesn't tell me which version they pull though. So make sure ALL of your EQ scores (FICO 9, 8, and 4) are in order before pulling the trigger with them. I hope this helps you out and give you some insight on what to expect from Carmax..

Carmax shops your information out to MANY lenders. Each lender will pull whatever they want.

I had 12 inquiries total, split between all three bureaus, most heavily in EQ. I would suggest you line up your own financing if possible.

When I cosigned for my daughters car.  They pulled Equifax.   If I remember correctly they will send it to carmax auto finance first.  If approved they will present you with that first before sending it out to other lenders.  So only one pull for me since I went with them

well thats what i was just focusing on the carmax fiancing and i was told they pulled experian but you say equfiax so ok

im not talking bout the other lenders im speaficly talking about carmax fiancce

Carmax now pulls EX and it only gets shopped to 4 or 5 banks and one if Carmax Finance picks up the loan... they won't send it out to anyone, but you won't know that until that offer pops back first.
