Cap One Auto Pre-Qualify HP or SP?

I'm thinking about going to look at a car (used) this weekend, and was going to do the Cap One pre-qaulify. It claims that it won't impact credit, but, they also ask for your SSN. I've never had a soft pull ask for my SSN before. Can anyone confirm they do an SP and not HP?

It's sp. The HP comes when you find a car and use the offer.

Well that was pointless...it says it is "missing information" which is preventing it from showing APRs.

Edit to say, it appears to only be the car I actually wanted an estimated APR on that it won't show. Pleanty of cars I don't want, it shows an APR between 3.3 and 4.4

What you get with the Cap One Prequalifcation is a letter that prequalifies you for a vehicle dollar amount. (click your icon in the top right and find the letter listed there)  They don't show you the interest rate for that amount because the interest rate may differ depending on the amount.

They also have a shopping area where you can see vehicles in the dealer inventory (only dealers that work with them) that you qualify for, and the interest rate that would go along with that.  I've found the list of vehicles there is extremely limited, though that might just be the sign of the times.
