Capital One Auto Loan Approval with Low Score

Hello!

Just wondering if anyone has been approved by Capital One with a low credit score? I am wanting to apply but wondering if I can get approved with a 550 credit score.Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Capital One is more tolerant of lower scores and past mistakes than many other lenders.

You can give it a shot, it is a soft pull for prequalication on their auto lending system.  Be prepared for double-digit interest rates, and potentially having to verify income, but at least you would know where you stand once they make a decision.  You are under no obligation to use the offer they make,and if they decline then at least they'll give you an idea on what you need to work on before shopping for an auto loan.

Yes I have. In March of 2015 my score was in the 450 ish and was approved from Capitol one for up to 35k. My income is 180k/year. Capital one is weird. They don't like a lot of recent inquires. When I got loan from them it was for 19400. Paid it off in a year. During that time I got close to 180k in total credit limit. Also got close to 200k in new installment loan. Score was in the 680-698. After all that score dropped to 630-650. Tried applying for capital one for another loan of only 20k and they denied me

I got my Capital One Auto Loan 3 weeks out of Chapter 7 discharge and I got a 6.6% on a new 2016 Honda Accord.  I used the prequalify site.  Good Luck

Hi! If you don't me asking.....what were your scores when you applied?

Use the prequal.  GF was approved for 25k with sub 600 scores at 7%.

my scores are mid 500's waiting for the auto loans to report and a captial one cc that should jump my score by 80 points I hope

I used local cu for low score auto approval and then refied with capone 6 mos later.
