Capital One PreQualification Mailers

I keep getting Capital One Auto Refinancing prequalifications. As I read the offers they don't specify what their mileage cap is. Can anyone assist me with that? I bought my car used with 30,000 miles. My car currently has 167,000 miles on it. My car is a 2010 and my current interest rate is ridiculous 24.99%. I still have 2 years on my loan and my balance is $11,000. This was a terrible mistake but due to my job being so far away I needed the car and I got stuck with the crappy APR.

I've been gettting them off and on since I started repairing my credit, usually from dealers that have paid Capital One to send out the mailers.

Unless its from a dealer you want to buy a car from, just go to the Auto Navigator on Capital One's website to see what you qualify for, it's a soft pull.

Re: Capital One PreQualification Mailers

This is directly from the CapOne prequalify autoloan site -

Make sure the new or used vehicle you're looking to finance is...

  • Between $4,000 and $40,000
  • for a new or used car, truck, minivan or SUV
  • that's 2006 or newer
  • has less than 120,000 miles
  • for personal use only
  • from one of the eligible dealers

ETA Scratch the above.  That's for buying.  Your best bet is going to be calling and talking to a CapOne rep.  They're pretty good to talk to Smiley Happy
