My wife and I are planning to sell our 2005 Excursion.
My daughter wants to buy it. We can get around $25k for it.
If my daughter cannot qualify for the loan to purchase it on her own, can my wife or I co-sign for her on the loan? Or will the fact that we are currently on the title make this not allowed?
BTW, daughter is 21, graduated, employed $34k, but CR is thin an no previous auto loans.
If she has a year of employment with her current job she length of employment will not stop her from getting a NFCU approval.
I am not sure if she will get a 25K financing with her income.
yes you can co sign for her even though she is buying the car from you
Does she really want an Excursion? I mean Gas will be going up once the recession is over....
She can probably go online and apply with NFCU, get a laon check sent to her and go from there
Have the Turbo Diesel.
I track mileage religiously. Get's up to 21 mpg highway and 16-17 city. Has 44 gallon tank. Can get over 800 miles per tank on trips. So, for a large SUV and 4x4 at that, fully loaded Eddie Bauer with only 62k miles....it's a good rig.
So unless your Town Car is getting 32 to 40 mpg.....nope.

I suspect the TD makes all the difference. Makes us roughly equal on mileage. My fuel is less though. The TC runs on rot gut!
In my area I can get the diesel for just bit over regular prices....so not too much premium at present.
@Now, when diesel got to almost $5 per gallon, that made fillups a real event @ 44 gallon tank
Got a friend with the turbo diesel in an F250...he's running bio-diesel.
