Consumers Credit Union

Just was approved for a $28k auto loan at 2.94% for 60 months. ( 756 current TU score)

Was originally pre-approved at $26k but needed more for the 2015 Ram 2500 I was looking at.

They had no issue increasing the loan again once I requested more.

I was looking for a TU puller and came across Consumers out of Illinois from these boards. I live in NY.

It is open to everyone and was a fast easy process.

Filled out auto loan app online and a rep returned an email within a day with a pre-approval and a follow up phone call.

He explained I only needed to find the auto and get the bill of sale and other documents and they could approve membership and loan in a few hours time.

After I sent the docs over it was done in a few hours. They are sending the check tommorow to the dealership.

Re: Consumers Credit Union

I was approved  today for 5.99 with auto pay for a $64,703 auto refinance. They pulled my transunion fico 8. They did only a soft pull for my membership. I submitted the loan application last night and a rep called me the next morning. I pre ordered a vehicle and was financed by southeast toyota. My first payment would have been due May 24th but decided to pull the trigger and refinance prior to my first payment. I did the check my rate to see what I could possibly be approved for on CCU's website and it was accurate. My transunion fico 8 was 656 with a prior bankruptcy in 2014 but all accounts have been paid on time since the bankruptcy. Utilization is about 50%. I had about $2,800 of negative equity rolled into the loan. I emailed the rep the NADA msrp price with all of my options to increase the LTV and I sent comparable vehicles from autotrader.com that are currently listed for sale because the price of the vehicle has increased due to the demand. This assisted in the purchase price. It helped them approve me. Their max LTV is 125% Hope this helps.

Re: Consumers Credit Union

congrats i had a preapproval through them with a rate of 6.24 but unfortunately they couldn't approve me for refinance due to my loan only being 2 months old. my current rate is 16.17 due to my bankruptcy was still too recent which will be a year old in july. I may try them again in august when it reaches 6 months mark. i could probably refinance my wife's car through them since hers is almost a year old and subsequently less money owed.
