I'm mentally swallowing the pill that my current DD may be mechanically totalled. That includes doing SP apps to see just how much car lenders are letting me buy. I know PenFed does SP apps for new car loans (was declined for one without a hard pull, I tried to shoot my shot at a new Nissan Z, and that was an L), but I don't know if they do the same for used car loans. I'm gravitating towards them cause I know they'll finance just about anything steet legal that has under 120k miles, and I like older vehicles.
I'd appreciate it if anyone with experience dealing with them could chime in and let me know how they proceed with these types of loans. Thanks in advance.
While its website says SP, I called them about auto-loans and they said on the phone that to see the rate, it will be HP, even for new car. You may call them.
I did not spend time on it and decided when I want to close the deal, I will apply directly to see the rate.
