Exeter Finance?

Has anyone dealt with this financing company? I did a forum search and didn't see really anything about them. Also searched Google and there wasn't much info in regards to consumer reviews. I purchased a car yesterday and was financed through them. Yes, the rate is high, but I should be in a position to refi in a year or so. Just wanted to know if anyone has had issues with the financing falling through or payment processing problems.

Re: Exeter Finance?

I have my loan with them for about a year now. Haven't heard a peep out of them. I setup auto payments from my bank account, so it comes out on time same time every month. Never heard of them before ,Gates Toyota got them to finance me high rate but I'm just about ready to refi.

Re: Exeter Finance?

I also have a loan through them. They financed a 14' Charger RT for me in May 14'. 30k loan with $500 down. 19% rate. The score they pulled was a 507 at the time so that explains the rate. My bank just approved me for refinance at 3% :-) What rate did you get from them?

Re: Exeter Finance?

Also as far as payments I've never had an issue. I paid directly out of my checking using there online page. No charge to do an online payment either. Pretty good company from what I observed, aside from the huge rate, but once again that had to do with my scores at the time.

Re: Exeter Finance?

18 and I also have a $30k loan. Good to know I'm not the only one. So the installments on this loan, they helped you get into a position to refi at a good rate i see. Good, because that is my plan. I've stayed in apartments that have cost less a month than this car note. I was at 540 but that is due to a past repo and not my Fico scores. I guess it was the auto enhanced. I love my car though and was surprised I even was approved for a new car at that price.

Wow, that's a difference of 15%. By how much will this refi be reducing your monthly payments? Congrats on the refi approval.

Re: Exeter Finance?

Lowers them by $200 and I only did a 60 month term. Exeter was 72 months @ $719 payments :-/ refinance asap! Your payments to to nothing but interest. Also my score barely rose from the loans, I got credit cards used them wisely and got some bad debt removed. Rebuilding forum on here helped me Smiley Happy

Re: Exeter Finance?

They were the only company that would finance me in 2012 and they were good to me.  The only thing I didnt like was they don't refinance.

Re: Exeter Finance?

Carmax uses them is the worst loan option usually.

Just work on your credit report and the things that are wrong with at fast as possible and try to refi in 6 month to a credit union.

you won't be able to refi with Exeter.
