Experian Only Puller for Auto Loan

Hello All,

Trying to help my sister out! She's in the process of rebuilding credit from a divorce and unfortunately had her car totaled - otherwise, she'd keep her current auto loan and car.

Anyway. Currently she has a Experian FICO around 674, with a similar Auto Score. Her TransUnion is absolutely trashed, and barely 600 and her Equifax is in the 640s.

She has no collection accounts, no charge offs, and two accounts paid less than agreed.

I'm not fully expecting her to get a "prime" loan, but... I am hoping she could obtain something near prime, with a rate less than 10%.

Anyone have any ideas? We tried PNC and got a denial. I plan to have her recon. Curious about any credit unions or banks anyone has to suggest.

Meant to add this: She also has a decent down payment. She's not looking for zero down. I just want to get her as close to a prime loan as possible.

I've seen Ford Motor Credit mentioned as only pulling Experian, but it may vary by geography, also this thread from last year mentinoed that Chase was planning to migrate to EX

You can also scroll through the Auto Loan Approvals thread and see recent approvals, interest rates, scores pulled.

Great suggestion...often times I've read someones approval and CB's pulled from a bank are completely different from my experience...there is absolutely a georgraphy component to CB pulled.

Where is she located? Her best bet would be a credit union and many in California pull experian only: schools first, altura

America's Credit Union in Washington State pulls Experian Auto Fico 8..they used to be the Ft.Lewis Credit Union. You do not have to be affiliated with the military to become a member as far as I remember..I never had an issue with any of their products, no matter where I was living at.

Re: Experian Only Puller for Auto Loan

Just wanted to post again and give some people hope.

She was offered fantastic financing from Capital One. 7.8%, on a 6 Year Loan.

PNC Bank turning her down. She was also turned down by Chase, who pulled Equifax.

Capital One appears to have pulled Experian for pricing or scoring. It was a soft inquiry to get pre-approved, and she received the exact same rates at the dealership.

In addition, they only pulled EX and EQ, as her TU was frozen. That doesn't seem to have been a issue at all.

Lastly, the down-payment amount didn't really affect pricing at all. I hope this helps someone.

She's very happy with the Rate and may try to refinance if rates come down, after a year or so.
