FICO Auto Score

I have had auto loans for over 15 years.  I have never paid late and also had an auto loan in my name.  My auto score is so low?  It it way lower than my FICO 8 score.  I have two open autos, pay over 1000k a month in payments, never late.  Why is it so low?  I would think it would be high because even though I have medical bills on my credit report, I have never paid my car payments late.  Someone told me it is because I only keep a car 8 months and trade it in.  I always have an open Auto line.  Weird?  Anyone have any thoughts?  I am looking to lease a car soon and want to have a great score.  Thanks

Re: FICO Auto Score

Imma take a guess and say the negatives on your credit report in general is holding it down.

FICO auto score has a floor of 250 vs FICO 8 floor of 300.  It would seem logically to conclude that any negative factors could drive your score down more with the auto score.

Re: FICO Auto Score

I wonder how the auto score is caculated vs other scores.  Like is it weighted 75% car history and then 25% everything else?  I would like to find out what makes the auto score "the auto score"  Because I have perfect payment history on cars since 1998 and my score is low.  My current info is in my sig line.  It it is really an auto score, isn't it suppose to take into account the auto history more than anything else.  Am I wrong?

Auto loans are weighed higher than regular FICO

Different weighting and score range? Yes.

75/25 weighted towards car history? Not even close.

Think more like FICO Classic but with a wider score range and a little more weight on installment loans, little less on revolving.

It's an "Auto score" in terms of the market it's targeted towards, not in terms of the primary weighting in the score.

Re: FICO Auto Score

I am totally confused with this score. I have had auto loans since year 2000, never been late and my auto score is low.  Is it because I trade in my cars every 8-10 months and get a new loan?
