Can someone tell me what the auto 5 and 8 puts the most weight on in determining score. On the regular Fico 08 my equifax and trains is around 700 but my auto 05 and 08 are around 670. My wife's is the opposite. Her Fico 08 are around 675 and auto scores are around 700. It's crazy to me!
Everyone uses Auto 8 its the most recent.

No, they don't. I've purchased 3 cars in the last year and not a single dealer has pulled 08.
I am really confused about this as well. I just applied for a car loan and was shocked when they told me my Equifax score was a 637. I was under the impression it was in the 700-715 range, so you can imagine my surprise when heard 637. I just signed up for a subscription with MyFico so I could see all of my score variations to try and find out what's going on. Apparently, this credit union pulls FICO 5 for car loans and that score is a 637 (no idea why it is so low). My FICO Auto 8 is 728. That's almost 100 points!!! I'm so frustrated and confused right now.
Sage advice, pull your reports. Ask the institution what reports they pull prior to letting them. You will have no trepidation and save yourself wasted inq and time. You may also be able to improve your rates by finding a lender that benefits your best scores.
Good Luck!
