My girlfriend submitted a finance application online a couple days ago via AutoNations website in relation to a pre owned vehicle she is interested in buying. She received notification via CreditKarma and Credit Sesame yesterday that her TU and EX reports were pulled, however has not heard anything back from the dealer. She said she called on her lunch break and the salesperson told her he would find out what's going on and give her a call back, which didn't occur.
My initial reply was - screw that branch. "If they don't have the decency to call you back and let you know the status of your application, do you really want to give them business?" summarizes what I said.
Thoughts, am I missing something or should she reach back out again? Regarding her credit, she has a current auto she is in process of selling in a seperate transaction to CarMax, no lates, 50% UTIL on CC that reported last month, 640ish FICO.
Sadly dealers tend to take care of the easy deals first, the ones where credit is instantly approved at a great rate.
If they have the car you want call them back until you get answers.
