Hard Inquiry Insurance Quote

I want to switch insurance companies. I looking at infinity auto insurance, but I dont want them to pull a hard inquiry. Ive read online that some auto insurance companies do pull hard inquiries. Is infinity auto insurance one of them?

if they are hard inquires, if i shop around within 30 days then it all counts as one inquiry right?

Home / Auto Insurance is almost never a hard pull.    You can shop around without worrying about inquiries.

This is true for auto financing inquiries, which are always hard pulls.    Depending on the FICO score model, any auto inquiries within 14 - 45 days are scored as only one inquriy.

I work in insurance and if you happen to live in a state that uses credit to generate the rate, my company doesn't use credit as part of the calculation in every state because of various statutes, then it will always be a SP.

I am at a loss regarding this. I shopped around for a new insurance company last year and was only SP'd. A family member living in the same county did the same and he got hit with a HP upon signing up for insurance through Travelers. (I got progressive)
