Hi guys! I am new here but been reading some of the posts lately, mostly in the credit rebuilding section. A few years back I had an accident and was out of work for 18 months due to the surgeries after the accident. I had great credit up to that point. Now my credit is terrible. I have 5 charge offs on my credit and no current open loans cause i rent and my vehicles are paid for. I have recently opened 2 secured credit cards to start getting back on the path to good credit. My scores are high 500's and a low 600. So like i say i have no need for a new vehicle at this time cause i have good vehicles that are paid off,but yet want to also rebuild credit to buy a house within the next 2 years. I have always wanted a Harley but never was allowed by the signifigant other to have one. That is no longer an issue. i figure with credit cards that i keep the balance paid off on every month and some type of installment loan i am on my way to getting my credit up to possibly by that house. i am working on also getting the charge off's deleted from my report. So my question is, does anyone know of any places that could possibly finance a harley with my credit scores? Thanks for the help guys and your time to read this.
Harley has financig of their own but they took a crashing hit during credit crunch based on how easy they had gotten... I think they tightened up credit or maybe even sold... have not heard anything on them in a couple years. I wouldn't buy it for the sake of building more credit.... more down payment would be better for house then a Harley loan.
Harley has there own credit division and they are HORRIBLE!!!! I have a bike financed through them that was setup on autopay and THEY stopped putting it through and told me it was my fauly and I not only had to pay and extra 35 dollars for there mistake but I have to pay 12 dollars extra a month to pay my bill. Have been fighting with them for over a month with this. I would stay far away from them. They seem to have some deceptive practices like first premier to get extra money. When tax time comes around I am getting rid of them for good.
If it were me, i would focus on getting ready for the mortgage app and put the Harley on the side burner for now. One you have the home financed and the Dw happy you will be in a better position to get the scooter of your choice. I'm speaking from experience!

So you make payments over phone with a rep now?
Why don't you set up auto payment from your bank account with Bill Pay? The billing date can't change by more then 5 days each month, so if your billing statement is say the 15th and it's due on the 10th of the next month, you could have your bill pay pay on the 1st each month...
I did have the autopay setup through harley. What im saying is after many months of them taking out automatically they all of a sudden said a couple months ago that it didnt go through and I had to pay a 35 dollar charge. After alot of the time on the phone with my back and going to the branch it is 100% there fault. Im pretty sure from checking they do this to groups of people to get extra money. I REFUSE to pay the charge. Since then ive setup autopay through my bank and they send to them. They still want to charge me 6 dollars a month for that which I again refuse to pay. All and all ice never dealt with a company that trys to get you ever which way. I probably spoke to them 40 times and on each time I told them I would be happy to pay them minus the fee and they have refused. They actually refuse to take my money! Im not joking. Thats why I had to setup the autopay through my bank and not them. Its been a battle stay away. I dont understand it either its just stupid practices. I was thinking of buying another bike in spring and was going to go with another harley and now I wont and will talk bad about them for years to come. That charge there trying to extort has cost them thousands.
