In need of your help!

I'm in a sticky situation here and I'm hoping you guys can help me.  Maybe let me just know what you would do.  Here's my situation:

My car broke down in early February.  I've been on a rental car since then at 700 per month, it's killing me.  My rationale was to get the rental until I A. knew what kind of car I wanted and B. could get my uti down to around 7% in order to get my score up.

I currently have a 660 and 664 TU and EQ pulled today from myfico.  My biggest baddie is a Public Record from a tax lien in 2004 that's reporting unpaid but is actually paid, just hasn't hit yet.

The biggest problem I'm having now is that the rental car was supposed to hit my card every week and they were doing authorizations.  Well, today they hit my card with a 1000 limit for 1900 dollars.  That obviously puts my account over.  It's the 27th, my card they hit will report on EOM.  The PR is supposed to report as paid at the EOM as well.  I don't get paid until the 5th, so I can't pay down the balance until after it posts to the CB as being over 100% uti.  Currently my uti is 50%.

I need to get a loan in about 4 days before the report shows my horrible UTI score and dropping me down to the low 600s.  What would you guys do?  Can I get financing in my current situation with the information that is reporting?

THANK YOU!!!!

Re: In need of your help!

Assuming you're in a situation where using public transportation for a month is not an option, I dont think theres much you can do.  It seems you can either wait until the next cycle where your utlization will be lower. Or you can bite the bullet and apply for the car now, and maybe try to refinance 6 months or even a year  from now.

Good Luck.
