@Anonymous wrote:Just a suggestion .. join PenFed Credit Union .. you are preapproved for 45 days.
Its like going with cash in hand.. then when you find what you want - go back to PenFed and they will send you paperwork to close on the vehicle.
No plethora of hard pulls and gives you the opportunity to haggle with dealer.
PS low interest rates.
Good advice...

Thank u! What are the requirements to become a member?
Instructions are on the very first page on this thread...
At the time I read all 110 pages... it is very simple to join.
Please check out this thread... I think you will be pleased.
I am activating my card as we speak... lol
To OP:
Please let me know how you make out. Anywhere where you google PenFed on Auto Loans/Auto Refinancing ... people are very happy.
Seems the only thing that they would not beat would be Manufacturer New Purchase ie 0.0% on brand new cars/trucks.
I am not in the markent for a car.. but so many swear by them. Beautiful thing is that your credit won't get all hacked up.
You can do their Car Shopping with preferred listings .. or go out on your own. Its a win win.
When I am ready to shop for a car.. this is the route I am going. PS they do mostly pull Equifax..sometimes not.
Again please let us all know how you make out.
ok...i am now a PenFed member. D u suggest i just sit bk and wait for my score to improve or do u think i could possibly get approved for a promise card or loan with my score where it is?

Congratulations... !
They already pulled your credit to become a member.
So Im thinking you can pretty much app now... it is off the same pull.
I will leave it up to Baller and the rest of the people wiser than myself.
They definitly did a hard pull? im suprised I didnt get a notification. Ok...when I apply I will let u know the outcome.

Remember that if by chance you are denied... you can recon.
They say that the Promise Card is the easiest... but its up to you ..
Also you can app off the same score up to 90 days... they generally use the same hard pull.
But sometimes if you are going for something else or recon - they may do another hp.
But mostly work off the same hardpull.
Cross Fingers...
My approval took like 5 minutes - it went into a very mini review.
I imagine that it was just so an analyst could look at it...
The suspense is killing me.
Oh just cause denied for one product cause many get denied for the PLOC (Personal Line of Credit)
Does not mean you won't get approved for something else. It appears that some stips are different than others.
Plus again if you read the PenFed thread you will know that some people get declined but call for a recon.
But definitely do the pre-approval for auto loan.
Again Crossing my fingers.
