Lexus Financial uses Highest Auto FICO

Two of my Auto Fico scores are above 800(Equifax-822, TransUnion-820) and my  Experian is 782. Lexus Financial offered me the best interest rate (beating my credit union) here in CA.

The salesperson said that the dealership uses our highest FICO score. I know when financing a home, mortgage banks use our middle score. I didn't know that car dealerships use our highest FICO score.

The salesman asked me to guess what my credit score was, I said high 700s, already knowing what my lowest score was, and he said no, "you're golden in the 800s."

Thanks for sharing, did Lexus do a HP on all three CRAs for your approval ?   What interest rates / terms are they offering ?

Yes Lexus pulled all three reports. The interest rate I got is 5.75% on a 2024 RX 350h CPO. My credit union is offering a slightly higher rate at 5.79%. However, on certain brand new Lexus, my score qualified me for a rate as low as 3.29% for 48 months.

In that image, it shows your rate goes up to 900 so I am thinking they pullled F9 or maybe F8 Auto?

Either way...congrats on your approval.  Typically these days.....while it varies with various banks.....I think the cut off for A Paper wit the best rates are for scores over 750

Yeah I believe that 900 is the max score for Auto enhanced FICO scores.

its a shame they werent more specific on which score, you have 12 FICO Auto Scores, F5,4,2, F8, F9 and F10.  They pulled all 3 bureaus but I doubt they pulled 4 scores from each.  All of them max at 900, except the F5,4,2, they dont max at 850 or 900.  They pulled one of the 4 and used whatever one worked the best.
