Lowest RV loan rates?

I'm shopping RV loan rates. Does anybody have a good lead on low rates?

My local credit union is offering loans starting at 4.49% for up to 60 months and 4.99% for 72 months.

Re: Lowest RV loan rates?

Those are pretty good RV rates.  Looks like Alliant is 4.49 up to 120 months.

I just applied to Alliant after seeing the terms were longer. Because the amount I applied for was relatively low ($15k) they offered me 4.49% up to 96 months. Not bad at all. And the decision was almost instant - about 10 mins after it said they'll contact me with a decision. My credit union is pretty old school, so the application would have been far more involved.

DS went with Alliant also.  Better than our CU.

Re: Lowest RV loan rates?

Just have to decide if I'm finally going to get an RV now. Been thinking about it for years now, but it's my first one so I'm nervous! Want to do it before the kids get too old though.

Just do it!  I love it; my kids love it....everyone luvs it!  I just got back from a trip.  I'm always getting back from a trip, nothing better than hauling arse with your home.  Sleeping in your own bed.  Our boys and their friends have so many great memories, we have so many great friends from all over the US.  Plus, when the power goes out, or need to evacuate (hurricanes for us) you're ready, willing and able.

What are you considering? Motorhome, TT, Popup, Fifthwheel, toy hauler?  I've had them all, luv'd them all.Heart

Our children now go camping in their own with us, it's just a great way to stay close.

Re: Lowest RV loan rates?

Looking at a TT. We camp regularly in a tent with our young kids, but being in Texas it's a small window where it's not too hot or too cold, so we're looking to extend the times we can go by having AC! The vehicle I purchased almost 6 years ago I got with a view that it can tow a trailer, so that's how long I've had it in mind for!

Re: Lowest RV loan rates?

No time like the present.....

Have you thought about used?  I'm mean, there are some killer deals on one that's just a couple/few years old and ALL or almost ALL of the darned kinks are worked out. I'll never buy new again just for that reason.  The first couple of years you're doing routine maint. plus working out the kinks.  So if you're taking a leap; maybe check into a used that still has the warranty and purchase the 'cheap' extra coverage.  They way if you decide you want to trade in and move up as the kids grow there is plenty of wiggle room.  As our boys grew our rigs grew.  Now we're just spoiled and lovin' it.  But I sold our last new motorhome and bought a used motorhome (same size) better bells and whistle for a heck of a lot less and that makes me giggle.  The other new rv's have left us stranded a time or two....just cause of flaws that we had to discover and deal with.

Of course TT's are the lesser of two evils with maint. but still....if you can get a used upgrade with good coverage you may enjoy looking into extra room to grow.  The financing is still sweet in most cases.  Gl!

Re: Lowest RV loan rates?

In the process of buying a new TT myself.

Need a $12000 loan after putting down $1500

Here are the 4 offers I got ....

USAA @13% +/-  from60 to 120 months

DCU 8.49% for 84 months ( pre-approved and have existing auto loan)

Langley 7.74% for 72 months ( have existing auto loan also)

Library of Congress FCU ...2.2% for 60 months ...or 3.1% for 72 months

Kind of did a double take when I saw the last one.

Pretty easy choice....lol.

In reality the 2.2% loan actually only comes out to be about $680 in interest

Jax
