NMAC financing

First off, I found a vehicle I wanted and got a preapproval for it from Capital one.  It is a Nissan vehicle, and they told us that the offers they have going on with it only apply if we finance through them. We allowed them to run credit, and they said they will absolutely be able to give a better rate than capital one.  They repeatedly told my husband "we will not lose your business. We will give you better than capital ones offer, and we will get you right where you want to be." Sounds great, right? Except they are saying they cannot tell us our APR or anything until we go to dealership due to an APR privacy act or something along those lines??? This makes me extremely nervous. Has this happened to anyone else? Is this normal with NMAC?

This is true. They want to make sure they you are who you say you are. I would go in but DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING until you see all the numbers and if you do not agree walk away.

Sounds like nonsnese to me. People buy cars and have them shipped to them. If the interest rate is so good why are they keeping it a secret?

If you relent and go to the dealer please follow the advice not to sign anything. Don't let them get your ID in their hands either.
