Hello,
I am searching for a new vehicle. I am and have been in the mortgage industry and we all know it has been up and down for 5 years, mostly down. I was strictly commission. Now for 2 years I have been employed with a major bank (salary) and I have been slowly paying down old debt. I have a couple credit card collections paid off or balances under $500. The worst is that I had a joint auto loan that was charged off in 2007 that still has a balance. It doesn't,t report a repossession although I know it's the same. My Eq score is 596. I know, awful... Having said that, I was wondering if I would have an issue getting a loan and a decent interest rate with a 596 and I have a co-signer with a 715 score and I have a auto charge off on my credit report? There would not be any DTI issues. Loan amount approximately $25,000. I do have 1 credit card tradeline with 12 months payment history reporting.
Please advise.
Thank you!
Most lenders will not have a problem approving you with a co-signer, however I can't guarentee it would be at the best rates. An actual approval shouldn't be hard though.
