New DCU Account question

My sister wanted to do an auto loan with DCU. She first sighned up for a checking account online. She was approved for an Auto loan with the checking account. So since she was approved with the checking, will that be 1 HP for both? Or will thy want to pull it again fr the auto loan?

Re: New DCU Account question

They will do another HP for any loan type products they offer after the intial HP for the checking account. However, she can get a credit card and an auto loan (for example) with one HP within I think 30 days. I called to apply for the Visa after I applied for the auto loan online just to make sure.

Re: New DCU Account question

Unfortunately, it wlll be two HP.  I know it doesn't make sense as you would think they could utilize the one report for both purposes. However, that is my experience with them.  By the way, if you decide to also do a credit card app that will be another HP.

The Credit Card and Auto Loan apps can be done with one HP. So it would be 2 total, one for membership and one for the apps.

Re: New DCU Account question

2 separate pulls on EQ! As mentioned in the other posts here, it's prob a good idea to app for an account/membership first before an auto loan.

Starting Score: No credit history in July 2013, 663 in August (lender pulled)
Current Score: 773 (Discover FICO), 749 (DCU EQ)
Ultimate goal: Buy a house in 2016!
