I've been sitting on a preapproval for about a month now, haven't been able to find a car I'm willing to incur debt for yet, haha

So I logged into penfed for the first time in a few weeks and saw this

Now that I think of it, about two weeks ago I got a call from penfed but I was working so I missed it. I dismissed it as a nudge to get me to use the loan.

I'd originally applied for $50k, and they'd counteroffered me with $40k. Is that probably what this means? I didn't see this comment after I applied, it just popped up today. I'm just wondering if it's a counteroffer to their counteroffer?

It's most likely just the original counter offer to your $50K request.

Thanks you guys! I wonder what I did to make it pop up? It never showed up in the week or two after I applied, even though I'd gotten their counteroffer immediately after applying.
