Qualify for a Lease

Went to the dealership today,  was talking to a salesman and he told me in order for me to get approved for my lease I need to have an auto loan history which I don't but is that true? Although I do have installment based loans, would that count?

I have an excellence mixture of credit from what Fico tell me, plus the sale manager of the dealership know I can pay it since I had two cars from them but it wasn't in my name.

Also if needed the car range from $50k to 70k

I can only speak from my experience. I immigrated to the US a decade ago and my first car was a lease. I had zero credit history incl. no history of a car finance. I do not remember details but I am sure the terms were horrible but other than that, I had no issues. Have you shopped around with some lenders or considered getting a car somewhere else?

Well I'm waiting until march to pull the trigger on a car, I have to take care of a few things
