Ok Need some recommendations for auto refinancing a 2015 explorer for my wife. Currently at 8.5 % at capital one and owe 18,300. We want to refinance in my wife's name only. She applied with lending tree and got preapproved but when she called the one she likes they said DTI was too high. Her income is around 60K and our joint mortgage is 1748 a month. Current car payment is $496. No other debt. Scores are in high 600's. Is there any places that dont look at DTI as much? Thanks.

If the mortgage is in both of your name's, some credit unions will let her claim that you pay 100% of mortgage out of your income reducing her DTI.
I have had them ask for my paystubs to prove my income could support the mortgage freeing up the wife's check for her own debts; that credit union didn't pull my credit, just wanted to make sure I had sufficient income.
