I feel your pain. I had issues getting TD to apply my principal payments correctly as well. They kept applying it towards future payments instead of principal, no matter what I told them.
I refi'd with DCU this month, and it's been a fantastically good experience. I would recommend getting your loan refinanced and away from TD.
