My dad leased a new Tesla Model S last year (Sept) from Tesla Financial. They did a HP from TU.
I noticed that they are not reporting to any of his credit reports.
is this normal for Tesla?

Might be, a user on one of the communities dedicated to Tesla had the same issue so sounds standard.

Cool.
I've been looking at the Model 3 Performance and like that it would have no impact on my credit reports.
Interesting. I wasn't aware that Tesla had their own financing department. When I ordered my car, it was stated that loans would be provided by either Chase, Wells Fargo or US Bank. Hopefully this is still an option come December when I order a new Tesla 3.

In general Tesla leases are garbage and not a good deal in anyway for the end user..specifically you can't even buy it if you wanted to...stay away from Tesla leases!

With the rate at which they make changes, you might not want to keep the same car after year 3. Hassle free way to "trade up".

Totally agree!
Tesla is such a technology based vehicle that I'd want a new one every three years. Like an iPhone.

Yeah, I have an April 2019 build that shipped with the v2.5 hardware. Even though it's only aesthetic right now (no interest in Full Self Driving), I'm bummed I don't get to see all the new driving visualizations.

I'm hoping they come out with Ludicrous Mode for the Model 3 this fall. There are also rumors of 100kwh battery. That would put driving range over 400 miles. 😳

I'd be VERY surprised if either of those made it to the Model 3 any time soon. Unless Tesla REALLY needed the cash, those features could canabalize S sales. We'll see what plaid brings though.
