Toyota

Was debating trading in my Prius for a new one and liked the TrueCar price i got and wanted to make sure I could get the 0% so I talked to the guy about credit and he said he could pull EX and TU and take the highest... I was okay with 1 pull on those so I did it with him over the phone.

To my surprise:

TU 673

EX 593

Excuse me, what did you say? (was my response!)

He said AND because your EX is below 610 Toyota won't even allow me to use your TU now so it's flat denied!

obviously these are auto enhanced but I still don't understand the over 100 point difference!

I'm deciding if im really mad or exepting this as a sign I shoudln't get a new car for no real good reason Smiley Tongue

Re: Toyota

Jesus, that is a huge spread! Now you have me curious of what my auto enhanced scores are :-/ I have had auto loans but not terribly old ones. One from aug13-now, one from may14-now, and one from feb14-mar14 so 3. The two I just refinanced so they will show up under new trade lines and look like I've had 5 auto loans. Any idea how much auto loan history it actually takes to help your auto enhanced scores?

Re: Toyota

That's a really huge swing. My auto enhanced are like 40-50 lower as my last car loan was in 2007 and is only on EX and TU. Seems fishy

Re: Toyota

Are you sure nothing else changed on your EX report?

Re: Toyota

My debt jumped a good junk because I missed statement cut off on navy and I did loose 20-30 points on my regular Fico but 100+ is extreme!

Re: Toyota

What did your previous auto loans look like, CA?  For reference, I have always had great history on auto loans, therefore, my auto enhanced scores are typically 15-20 points higher than my credit score.

Are there any negatives showing up on previous auto loans?  I suppose the other option is that they are using an older auto enhanced score version for experian than transunion?

Re: Toyota

I have 60 day late on my infinti lease before I turned it in and settled with them.
I had auto loans in my bk but I think they are all gone (they are from my standard credit reports)
The only odd thing he said to me as he skimmed my exact Elian to try to see difference is that I had like a 143 open trade lines!!! Which even if AU accounts are showing up I think I'm right around 100.

Oh well I'm pushing it out of mind for now, I don't need the car and don't need to finance it if I must get it!

Re: Toyota

Do you and the person your applying with live together? Have you had an auto loan before? If so how was it paid? Also what is the volume size of this toyota dealer compared to others in your area. TMCC does a lot of tier exceptions. I used to be finance director of a Toyota dealership for quite a while.
