Re: Denied by chase, should I try a credit union?

So I called DCU today after faxing in all the paperwork, and as of right now I am still approved, and I got a 4.3% APR! I was also told that if I use DCU checking with auto pay then they would bump off an additional .5% !!! So that's a 3.8% par compared to the dealerships 19. Whatever!

So I do have a question, I read another post by a chase applicant who was approved, then denied after sending in paperwork.... What are the odds of it happening to me with DCU? I mean all of my paperwork should match the info that I filled out... But I just don't want to get too excited yet....

Or or is it, once your approved, your approved?

I guess anything is possible BUT if your paperwork matches and the car has the value- you should be fine.

Also is your chex clean? If chex (not sure if DCU also peeks at EWS) has a baddie, there is a chance you'll be denied membership meaning you can't get the loan.

Well, i never heard of Chex so i just googled it. I had a couple overdrafts on my debit card in 2006-2007 just being in school and woking a part time job ect, having to put gas and not realizing how much money i had... I even bought a mountain dew one night and that cost me a $30 overdraft fee.... I paid those off within the month of course, will something like this get me denied? I did read they only research back 5 years as well.....    I have to call DCU today to see if they received my forms, I faxed them all in, but was told they were too blury, so I emailed them in yesterday....   Stay tuned.....
